TRAINING SEMINARS

Experience is a great teacher - that’s where we come in.

We provide comprehensive in-house human resource training. The foundation for this is based on 25+ years of practicing employment and labour law, combined with a love of teaching and sharing experiences. Our instruction is practical and hands-on. It is our fundamental belief that knowledge is power when it comes to managing day-to-day HR issues and/or complex issue specific concerns.

Training takes whatever format will be most beneficial and specific to suit the need. Topics are as varied as required including, but certainly not limited to: performance management; diversity and inclusion; legislative updates; labour and employment law compliance; absenteeism management; workplace investigations; workplace restructuring; disability management; and drafting effective documents.

Training can also focus on specific workplace issues or past issues that need to be addressed going forward.

The objective is to learn from past cases/situations/litigation/experiences in order to anticipate issues going forward; learn from possible mistakes; reinforce positive actions and documentation; remain current as to human resource and legal obligations; improve human resource management; and, improve/support inter-departmental communication and effectiveness.

WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS

Certain workplace issues warrant an investigation - either internally, or from an external, third party.

We are experienced in providing investigation services to assist employers in conducting swift, thorough, and objective investigations that can stand up to scrutiny.

Whether acting as an impartial third party investigator, or advising clients on how to conduct their own proper workplace investigations, we provide resources and recommendations to ensure investigations run smoothly, and can also assist with recommendations and strategies based on the investigation results to ensure matters are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with applicable employment laws and legal considerations.
